Mira T. Keddis, MD (Councilor Four)

Mira T. Keddis, M.D. is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. Dr. Keddis received her formal education Houston Baptist University, receiving bachelor's degree in Science. Her medical training was completed at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston Texas where she graduated as junior AOA. Dr. Keddis continued her medical journey at Mayo Clinic Rochester where she completed internal medicine residency followed by a chief year and Nephrology Fellowship. She joined the faculty at Mayo Clinic in Arizona in 2013. She served as the Associate Program Director for Nephrology fellowship until 2018. She is currently the Nephrology Course Director for the Mayo Alix School of Medicine (MCASOM) and has served in that role since 2018 and is the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs for MCASOM. She also serves as the Associate Director of Education for the Center for Individualized Medicine on the Arizona campus and she co-directs the cross-disciplinary Stone Clinic. Her clinical research interests include enteric hyperoxaluria, nephrolithiasis after kidney transplant, and cardiovascular risk factors before and after kidney transplant. Dr. Keddis is a member of the American Society of Nephrology and the National Kidney Foundation. She has played an important role in teaching and mentoring students and colleagues at her institution through several leadership roles and has received numerous accolades for her teaching.
